FORM COMPARISON / TWO ACTUAL LABELS

Glycinate vs citrate: start with the number that matters.

Both names identify magnesium compounds. Neither name tells you how much elemental magnesium is in a particular tablet, what else is present or which one suits you.

The magnesium line

Healthy Care’s glycinate label states 1,140 mg compound and 160 mg elemental magnesium per tablet. Blackmores’ citrate label states 970.8 mg compound and 150 mg elemental. Compound mass is not the amount of magnesium itself.

Pack economics

Our cost formula uses each selected pack price and the stated elemental amount. The selected prices are a dated snapshot; a different pack or promotion changes the arithmetic.

Personal suitability

These two listings do not prove that either form works better for sleep, cramps or any individual. Read the product warnings and discuss suitability with your GP or pharmacist.
